When I started to write this review I thought I would say that Kenneth W. Royce is my favorite philosopher (a title of which I'm sure he would disagree with), but then a line from the movie The International came to mind: "You must think like a man of action, and act like a man of thought." This is the idea that this book brings to mind. Royce obviously tries to live by what he preaches, and his thoughts and observations on living and being a man are fundamental to those of us who are a work in practice. I was raised by hippies, and though I received a lot of love I didn't receive much if any solid advice or wisdom about how to deal with life. Quite the opposite. This is the book I wish I had in my twenties (I'm now 47). It would have saved me a lot of needless suffering and reinventing the wheel. Buy this book for yourself if you need to get your thinking straight, or buy this book as a gift to any struggling young man. The world needs more real men, and the wisdom in these pages is more timely than ever.Product details

I wish I had this book back when I was 18, I am still young only 23 but this would have definitely have helped me from making a lot of mistakes when growing up. This is a must read along with Volume1. Hopefully Volume 3 doesn't take to long to come out.
I gave Volume 1 of MFM a 5-star review. Having just read Volume 2 I'm THRILLED to be
able to give it 5-stars, as well! The chapter on Taxes, alone, is worth 100 times
the price of the book. Royce's writing is in the opposite style of Malcolm Gladwell where an entire
book might contain two good ideas and one of them is in the title. Instead, these books have
four or five great insights on every page while tackling the most difficult subjects
an author can write about. If Royce keeps going like this with the subjects he's listed for
Volume 3 then the three-volume set will unlock the secrets of Liberty and Life for the next generation.
Two words Homeschool Curriculum!
Shoul be on every man's bookshelf. In fact without it, most American men will continue to be substandard.
I may update this review later but for now Bought this book for my nearly 18 year old son. Not only did he read it avidly, he has been outlining it. Keep in mind that HE is the one deciding to dig into this material -- I'm not making him do it. That should speak volumes.
Royce is to modern masculine development as Carnegie is to the social understanding
volume 2 has less typos than volume 1 but somme of the passages are rehashed and has some chapter subjects that were frankly, boring.
Not as good as volume 1. still worth a read to help become a better man.
I would have given this book 5 stars but I'll stick to 4. The topics by themselves are massive, topics that I humbly believe every human being must know and understand regardless his race, color or country of origin. However, don't expect to have all the topics equally developed or with equal useful insights. If that was the case, then we wouldn't need to read any other book. Ever.
Nevertheless, the book is filled with impactful quotes and texts written by Mr. Kenneth himself.
In brief, I highly recommend all three volumes.
